Inviting people to join
Make a link or a QR code for your Award Centre, or invite one person by email. Whoever joins this way has your Award Centre and Award Leader filled in for them.
People who join through an invite do not search for their Award Centre or wait for a Leader. Open Invites in the console.
Make a link
Choose your Award Centre. Then choose the Award Leader the link names, a level and the last day it works, and choose Make link. An Award Leader names only themselves. A Centre or Operator admin may name any Award Leader of the Centre, or none.
The link has an address to copy and a QR code to download as a picture. Print the QR code on a poster. Each link shows how many people joined through it. Choose Revoke link to stop it. It stays in the list, and its address explains that it no longer works.
What the person sees
They open the address and the registration starts with your Award Centre and Award Leader already filled in. They cannot change them. We still check that they may take part. The level you chose is selected for them, and they may pick another level that is open to them. If your Award Leader no longer leads at the Centre, the person is registered without one and the Operator’s allocation gives them one.
Invite one person
Under Invite a person, type their name and email address, choose the language of the email and send it. They get an email with an address of their own. It works for 30 days. We do not send it to someone who is registered already, or who has a waiting invitation to the same Award Centre.
The Invited list
Open Participants, then Invited. Each invitation is Pending, Expired or Accepted. It is accepted when a participant registers with that email address, however they found the registration. Choose Send again for a pending or expired invitation to give it 30 new days and send a new email. Choose Delete to remove it with the details you typed. An accepted invitation leads to the person’s record.
